Yale Day of Service 2012

Thanks to Fuerzalinda Fraga & Debbie Ebert, chairwomen for Yale Day of Service in Nevada, we have two opportunities to volunteer. In addition, we have added an additional day, Sunday, May 13th for those who can't participate on Saturday. Please sign-up onlineEVENT 2) National Park Clean Up ProjectRed Rock CanyonMeet at 1000 Scenic Loop DriveLas Vegas‎ NV‎ 89161Two Dates Offered: May 12th AND 13thYou can choose either or both dates.Time for both days: 8:00am - noonPlease sign-up onlineFor those who enjoy the outdoors and exploring Red Rock Canyon and its trails, the Red Rock Canyon Clean Up Project is a perfect volunteer opportunity. Volunteers will be able to contribute to and have a direct positive impact on the natural resources in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.Volunteers will hike the trails and outdoors areas of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to clean up litter in the trails, parking areas and/or the Visitor Center. Volunteers should be prepared with proper clothing and shoes, but will be provided with other tools and materials. The group will be briefed on safety and proper tool etiquette. Volunteers should be able to work in possible extreme temperatures and rough uneven terrain.
